The Lawdawgs organization will attempt to rewrite the way minor league
football teams are run both on and off the field. Established in 1996 as
the South Dakota Marshalls, the Dakota Lawdawgs are entering their
eighth season.
As in any sports organization, the Lawdawgs have had their ups and
downs but we are committed to being the best organization both on
and off the field. We, at the Dakota Lawdawgs, are aware
that this is a huge goal but believe that it is possible. It
would seem that the odds are against this undertaking especially
at the minor league level. We have a dream that the old
fashioned values of football and life can be brought back to life
here in South Dakota under the flag of the Dakota Lawdawgs.
We are searching for players that love to practice as much as they
love to play. We are searching for fans that come for the love
of the game, not the giveaways and the gimmicks.
As a team we will strive to live by the rule of faith, family and
football. Respect for the game of football, the unwritten laws that
apply, the ethics and the morals that were laid down for the game long
before we saw our first game.
Somewhere along the way these things have seemingly become impossible
to achieve. We will achieve this goal. The only question left now is,
are you going to be part of this organization?
